Artists: Caroline Lost Added to Playlists

If you missed the update, Caroline Lost has been uploaded to our playlists.We'll be adding another really good track, "Barely Breathing", as soon as we get it. It looks like the track might have been featured in the Christian Henson movie, "Chasing Liberty", in which another Caroline Lost song, "To Be With You", is featured, from what I hear. We've been e-mailing back-and-forth with her, trying to get permission to play her music, requesting a nice pic (below) to show off, and trying to locate the aforementioned memorable track. Caroline seems like a friendly, down-to-earth person. She's said that she has a CD on the way, so when it comes out, you might want to help this great lady show the wannabe's how it's done by picking up an extra copy and asking your local radio stations to spin it.

If you've got time, check out some of the free music offered by Caroline Lost. This chick rocks! She could easily have a debut as big as Alanis Morisette. [UPDATE!: Caroline has given Tactical Gaming Radio permission to broadcast her free songs. You should be able to hear her music during our primary revolving playlist, our Tryptophan shows, and most definitely our EstroGeneration shows.]

Artists: Keni Thomas' ''Flags of Our Fathers''

I'm not sure if it is the same Keni Thomas that served in Task Force Ranger, but I found that a CD by an artist of that name is selling on Overstock.com. It is called "Flags of Our Fathers" and won't be released at Overstock.com until January 25th. It has one song featuring Emmylou Harris and another with Kenny Rogers! Big names in country music! Well done, Keni!Yep, it is the same Keni Thomas, as you can see at the CD Baby page for "Flags of Our Fathers". MoraineMusic also lists Keni as one of their affiliated artists. In other Keni Thomas news, I received my copy of Cornbread's "Headspace & Timing", in which Keni is the lead singer. I'm giving it a listen, now, and that isn't much of a chore. I'll be uploading some of my favorite tracks as soon as I figure out what those are.

Artists: Keni Thomas of Task Force Ranger '93
|

 | Keni Thomas was one of the U.S. Army Rangers of Task Force Ranger who participated in and survived the successfully completed mission both described in the book "Black Hawk Down" and depicted in the movie of the same name. (Let's not forget the NovaLogic tactical first-person shooter "Delta Force: Black Hawk Down"!) He formed a band in the mid-'90's going by the name "Cornbread", whose music has met with considerable applause. If you'd like to give Cornbread's music a listen and contribute to a worthy cause, you can do that at Keni's CD Baby page. You can also have him speak to your AirSoft or Paintball scenario's participants for only $4,000! Not too much considering his experience and the fact he also played a squad leader in the Mel Gibson movie "We Were Soldiers". From what I have gathered, Cornbread has released 4 CD's: "Following Ceres", "Headspace and Timing", "No Place Like Home", and the "Hero" CD linked to, above. I've been able to secure "Headspace and Timing", but am having some trouble acquiring the 1st and 3rd CD's. |
